I am a Somali development economist, researcher and educator based in Mogadishu. As a lecturer at SIMAD University and Head of Career Development and Women’s Economic Empowerment at SIMAD Innovation Lab, I connect applied research with teaching and institution-building. My work uses evidence to understand development constraints, strengthen human capital and expand pathways to opportunity in Somalia and comparable fragile economies.
